DTI Price Monitoring

After the typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng the government specially the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) monitor the price ceiling of the different drug stores and groceries.

On Monday night they went to Novaliches area in Quezon City to catch some establishments who sell products above the DTI’s price list. The DTI agent says that the manager who violate the Republic Act 7581 also known as the Price Act could face the 1-10years imprisonment and 1,000 to 1 million fines and the establishment will be closed.
