Renato Solidum from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology says that the earthquake occurred about 400kilometers under the seabed. He said that the magnitude 6.5 earthquake in southwest of Cotabato city and other five cities in the southern Philippines doesn’t cause any damage or tsunami. It is good news to us because the earthquake in Southern Cotabato didn’t hurt any people unlike in Sumatra Indonesia who destroyed many establishments and killed 1,100 people.
